The National Institute of Design (NID)
The National Institute of Design (NID) is internationally acclaimed as one of the foremost multi-disciplinary institutions in the field of design education and research. The institute functions as an autonomous body under the department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. NID has been declared ‘Institution of National Importance’ by an Act of Parliament, by virtue of the National Institute of Design Act 2014. NID is recognised by the Government of India as a scientific and industrial design research organisation. It has 19 design disciplines across 3 campuses of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar running B.Des, M.Des and PhD programmes. The Business Week, USA has listed NID as one of the top 25 European & Asian programmes in the world.

HafenCity Universität Hamburg
The HafenCity University Hamburg is the University Of The Built Environment And Metropolitan Development (HCU). The education and research at the HCU Hamburg are aimed at contemplating and concretising what the future of metropolitan areas could and should look like. Coping with this future requires a systematic interdisciplinary as well as a transdisciplinary approach. For this reason, the HCU offers the entire range of disciplines required for understanding and designing the urban environment: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Urban Planning, Metropolitan Culture, Urban Design and Resource Efficiency in Architecture and Planning (REAP). A cross-curricular as well as inter- and transdisciplinary programme complements the curriculum of the individual study programmes.
