The SwissGradNet network is dedicated to foster PhD candidates who meet the formal requirements and who would like to undertake a use-inspired research project in art, design or film, within the set topics of SwissGradNet and the research fields of its partner institutions.
The respective doctoral degree regulations of the international partner universities will determine admission to the doctoral studies. The doctoral board of the partner university in question will decide on which applications will be accepted for doctoral studies.
To be supported by SwissGradNet, PhD candidates must:
- hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in one of the defined research fields of the partner institutions, in compliance with local regulations at the university in question.
- have a high language competency in English according to the language requirements of the respective international partner university and the Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences.
- have a basic command of at least one of the four Swiss national languages.
The form of employment and supervision are to be negotiated with the respective institutional partners.
However, alternative forms of collaboration are possible and must be negotiated directly with the respective institutions.
